Powered by a 1GB Snapdragon processor, the Xperia PLAY delivers uncompromised mobile gaming ability. With an official PlayStation sliding control pad, two shoulder buttons and two analogue touch inputs all optimized to ensure that the gaming quality is equal to the standard of real consoles, the smartphone also carries a number of games exclusive to the handset.

Sony Ericsson has already announced a number of games that will be released on the platform, as well as support from a number of games developers including both EA Games and Gameloft. The handset’s Android 2.3 operating system will also come with the myriad Google applications, as well as Sony Ericsson’s own signature applications, Timescape and Mediascape.
