The first Resistance: Fall of Man still accumulates honours and a sequel has been announced, Resistance 2, in the last couple of days. Still a Playstation 3 exclusive title, the game will still be set in a science-fiction universe. The Chimaeras will also be there, with the main protagonist of the first entry, Sergeant Nathan Hale. However, the combat will take place in an alternate timeline from the 1950s.
Two campaigns have been confirmed, one for the solo mode and another one developed specifically for cooperation where up to eight players online or two sharing the same screen will be able to clean the planet off of the monsters together. It will be possible to select a class from special ops, medic or heavy weapons. Resistance 2 servers will allow up to 60 players online at any time, which is twenty more than the capacity of the original. Its launch date is set to the autumn of 2008. [March 20, 2008]
