Images of Wipeout HD

Futurist racing games are not particularly aplenty right now on the Playstation 3, even less so as exclusive titles. Then there’s Wipeout HD which, as its name pretty much says it, is offered for the first time in high definition. Wipeout HD will make an interesting debut on Sony’s console with many tracks taken from previous entries in the series (Wipeout Pulse, Wipeout Pure) then reworked for today’s standards - all in 1080p resolution and at 60 frames per second.



Another important factor of this racing game in regard to its counterparts is the use of SIXAXIS, the Playstation 3 controller technology. It is also possible to take screenshots of your racing with a special mode, save them on your HDD, transfer them to PC or share them with friends over the Playstation Network.

Wipeout HD will be offered as a product of the Playstation Store in 2008. It is developed by Sony in its Liverpool studios, in England.
