Siren: New Translation scares with images

Sony Computer Entertainment made a surprising announcement with Siren: New Translation, a videogame that is sure to give goosebumps even to the most experienced gamer in the horror and survival genre. The horror & survival videogames have been sparse since the release of the newest consoles.

This will probably change soon as a handful of interesting projects in this underexploited genre will see the light of day at the end of 2008 / somewhere in 2009, like the Siren: New Translation effort that is exclusive to the Playstation 3. This game is a remake of the first one released on the Playstation 2 in 2004, which has been completely facelifted with better graphics and controls. The game has also been separated into 12 chapters that will be offered on the Playstation Store, probably for the same amount of weeks, i.e. one episode per week for three months. The Japanese characters are, for the most part, gone and replaced by American ones.
